What does Islam teach about Jesus?
Islam teaches that Jesus (known as Isa in Arabic), the son of Mary, was a human being and a Prophet of God. He had a miraculous birth because he was born to a virgin mother, without a father. However, this does not mean that he should be worshipped. Even Adam and Eve had no parents, which is considered an even greater miracle.
Jesus performed many miracles, just as other Prophets did, but these miracles were only possible with God's help. Islam also teaches that Jesus was not crucified but was raised to God. He will return in the future to bring justice and peace to the world.
